Who am I and what do I offer?
Personally, Im an art lover and creator. Coloring and sculpting hair and working with my hands, snuggles right into what brings me joy. In my free time, I love to travel and be near water. Im often found wandering around a new city, enjoying a museum, spa or beautiful view. My favorite adventure buddy is my 80lb pooch.
Professionally,
Im a realist and a dreamer. What does than mean? I love to spice things up and I respect the reality of time and effort. If you're craving something different but are only willing to style for 3 minutes each morning, that can work. There's balance in there and Im here to help you find it.
Im a good fit for people who are looking for a fresh new style. If you want to change your style completely or try on a vibrant new color, Im here for it! If your curious about that haircut you saw on instagram and thought “there is no way I can have that”... Im here to say yes you can. Shag, Pixie, French bob? Yep. Yes. Absolutely, let's do it!
More of an introvert? I hear you. If you're growing out your grey and want to do it gracefully while maintaining dimension, controlled texture and shine, I can help with that. If you're not interested in seeing the grey and want to keep it hidden like it doesn't exist, no problem.

The Space
Welcome to my little slice of the world. This is Canvas Hair pdx. The name comes from a life of artistic endeavors, using different mediums and working with my hands. I opened this little boutique salon in May of 2021 after closing my NW location. The salon is bright, with natural light and lots of plants draping the shelves. The neighborhood is residential and quiet, the perfect place to unwind. I always have refreshments and snacks on hand to keep you feeling good while you're here. I'm located just off I84 and I205 and there is always a free parking spot waiting. You're welcome to choose your music and work or relax. I offer an optional silent appointment if your day was hectic and you don't care to chat. I want everything to be welcoming and easy for you. Head massage, cup of tea...the time is all yours.

My Mission
I enjoy helping people embrace their real hair, lifestyle and ability. Picture perfect hair is fun, but if you're not going to spend 30 minutes styling, it's not right for you. I want to bring together all the elements that allow you to love your hair. What are they? Your dream hair, your real hair and your lifestyle. I'll help you find a connection between a realistic routine and a flattering haircut or color.
My Craft
One of the most exciting things about being a hairstylist today, is how quickly styles and desires change. Those changes inspire me daily to continually educate myself so I can meet those needs. When you leave feeling confident and beautiful, I'm thrilled.
My Care
Im committed to removing as many toxic ingredients in the salon as possible. I am focused on eliminating Sulphates, Phthalates, Parabens, Silicones, PPD, Amonia, Resorcinol, Toluene, Formaldehyde, Lye, Synthetic Fragrances and Alcohol. Im not 100% toxic free, but I am doing my best to get there.
